Why it matters for the stock

  • AST is aiming for about 45 satellites in orbit by early 2027 and about 90 for continuous global coverage; BlueBirds 11 to 13 took the count to 13 in August 2026.
  • After the August launch, AST said it was preparing for beta services later in 2026 and working towards service activation in the US, Canada, Europe, Saudi Arabia and Japan, and for the US Government.
  • AST's full year 2026 revenue guidance is $150 million to $200 million, with about half expected to come from contracted backlog.
  • Advanced Television reports this batch is about a month behind the schedule shown in August, and that later launches depend partly on the availability of Blue Origin's New Glenn.
